NTA issues important advisory for CUET UG 2026 applicants: Update Aadhaar, disability, category certificates before filling form

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued a strict advisory for candidates appearing for the Common University Entrance Test [CUET (UG)]-2026, directing them to update their Aadhaar Card, Disability Certificate, UDID Card, and Category Certificate (EWS/SC/ST/OBC-NCL) before filling the online application. The move is aimed at preventing discrepancies, grievances, or rejection of applications during later stages of the process.

Documents required to be updated for CUET UG 2026

Here are the documents required to be updated:

Aadhaar Card:

  • Must have correct name, date of birth (as per class 10 certificate), latest photograph, address, and father’s name.

UDID Card / Disability Certificate

  • Should be valid and updated for Persons with Disabilities.
  • Admission: IPMAT, PI Score, and Academic Profile
  • Fee Structure: INR 36 Lakh (approx)
  • Average Placement Package: INR 18 LPA-INR 19 LPA (approx)

Category Certificate (EWS/SC/ST/OBC-NCL)

  • Must be updated and currently valid.

Candidates are advised to remain in close touch with the NTA official portals at https://nta.ac.in and https://cuet.nta.nic.in/ for real-time updates and any further instructions related to document submission. The NTA has reiterated that non-compliance with the document update advisory may result in difficulties during the application process.
